Somehow my personal perception of nature since early adolescence has always been influenced by this movie and its wonderful cinematography, who knows why; 
Always keep in mind that three of four hellraisers - Peter O’Toole, Richard Burton and Richard Harris were considered to play the part of Major Doryan (Christopher Jones)
